Interested in physics, math, research, or science outreach? Looking for a fun, close-knit community of learners? The Society of Physics Students at UNC Chapel Hill is here to help! We hold weekly meetings in Phillips Hall, exciting events such as our Halloween Party and camping trips, and are always planning science outreach events in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Community. There are lots of opportunities to be involved. Get in contact with us via our “Meet the Execs” page or stop in Phillips 245 for a chat anytime!

Make new friends!

Our awesome weekly meetings and fun outings off campus are a great chance to meet new people and make friends. Additionally, SPS folks are always hanging out the in the SPS room (literally always) and we highly encourage popping in for a chat because it is a super easy way to see faces old and new.

Exciting Gatherings

From our annual travel to SESAPS to Waffle House breakfast after camping trips, we delight in hosting exciting events for SPS members to take part in. Our Instagram is updated every week with upcoming meetings and activities for all the participate it!

Find us in the SPS Room

That’s right, we have our own room! Phillips 245 is where you can find many SPS members throughout the day. We use it for studying, socializing, and collaborating and highly encourage newcomers to knock on our door.
